Kim was born in Ben Tre, Vietnam in 1985. Her family immigrated to the United States when she was 5 years old. She spoke both Vietnamese and English in the home and she studied Spanish in school. During college she volunteered and studied abroad in Oaxaca, Mexico. Afterwards, for 6 years she continued to volunteer helping the Spanish community in Kalamazoo and Battle Creek, Michigan. She received TESOL certification in 2010 and continued working as an English Language Learner (ELL) Tutor and Spanish Interpreter/Translator for Gull Lake Community School District. She spent the following 7 years doing similar work in Ho Chi Minh City and Ben Tre, Vietnam for the Vietnamese language at Khoa Tri English Center and PSB College. In 2019 she moved back to America and began pursuing a career in Medical Interpretation. Call Kim 24/7 LLC was established in March of 2020. She has since became a licensed Medical and Community Interpreter Trainer for the accredited Cross-Cultural Communications Program®. She now offers in person and online language classes and trains interpreters worldwide since 2021.
